Samuel Chukwueze has reportedly rejected a move to Turkish club Trabzonspor as he wants to continue his career with AC Milan, Footynaija reports.
Trabzonspor submitted a €15 million offer for the Super Eagles winger and were ready to sign him either on a permanent deal or on a loan with an obligation to buy. The Turkish side saw Chukwueze as an important player for their attack ahead of next season’s UEFA Europa League campaign.
However, reports from Nigerian journalist OJBSports say the 27-year-old has decided against the move. Instead, he wants to stay at AC Milan and fight for a regular place in the team.
Chukwueze is also said to be keen on finding out where he fits into the plans of new Milan manager Ruben Amorim before making any decision about his future.
The Nigerian spent the 2025/26 season on loan at Fulham in the Premier League, where he scored three goals and provided four assists in 23 league matches. Although he impressed many fans at Craven Cottage, Fulham chose not to activate their €24 million option to sign him permanently.
The Premier League club reportedly believes the transfer fee is too high and is instead hoping to negotiate a lower price. AC Milan, on the other hand, are believed to value Chukwueze at between €25 million and €31 million as they reshape their squad this summer.
Chukwueze remains under contract with AC Milan until June 2028 and appears focused on proving himself in Italy rather than moving to Turkey.
