The Super Falcons have confirmed their technical and backroom crew ahead of their 2028 Olympic qualifying clash against Comoros, with former Nigeria men’s senior national team coach Augustine Eguavoen set to lead the team, Footynaija.com reports.
The Nigeria Football Federation has placed Eguavoen in charge of the nine-time African champions on an interim basis, with Christopher Danjuma and Ayisat Yusuf joining him as assistant coaches.
Former Nigeria goalkeeper trainer Olatunji Baruwa will also be part of the technical team and will oversee the goalkeepers as the Super Falcons begin their Olympic qualification campaign.

The Super Falcons confirmed the appointments in an official announcement on their X account as preparations continue for the second-round tie against Comoros.
The wider backroom team includes Oboduku Mary Bose as team administrator, Garba Larai Hyedima as team doctor and physiotherapists Nwachukwu Adaku and Onah Melody Chimkwesiri.
Dr Terry Eguaoje has been named team analyst, while Ann Okoro will serve as safeguarding officer and Falokun Folashade Elizabeth as coordinator.
Eguavoen will now lead preparations for Nigeria’s two-legged encounter against Comoros, with the first leg scheduled for Friday, October 9.
The return fixture will take place on Tuesday, October 13, with both matches slated to take place at the Remo Stars Sports Stadium in Ikenne-Remo after Comoros were unable to provide a CAF-approved venue.
The Super Falcons received a second-round bye due to their ranking among Africa’s highest-ranked teams and will be hoping to take another step towards securing a place at the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.
Nigeria must progress through five qualifying rounds to claim one of Africa’s two available Olympic spots, making the upcoming encounter the first hurdle in their qualification journey.
