The Super Eagles of Nigeria return to action on Wednesday evening when they take on Poland in an international friendly at the PGE Narodowy Stadium in Warsaw, Footynaija.com reports.

Eric Chelle’s men head into the encounter in high spirits after lifting the 2026 Unity Cup in London following victories over Zimbabwe and Jamaica, while Poland will be looking to halt a worrying run of form after consecutive defeats to Sweden and Ukraine.

Although the match carries no competitive stakes, it offers both nations an important opportunity to fine-tune their respective squads ahead of future assignments while giving supporters another chance to watch some of their biggest stars in action.

While it may only be a friendly on paper, the fixture presents another valuable opportunity for Chelle to continue building momentum following Nigeria’s Unity Cup success.

The Super Eagles have looked increasingly confident under the Franco-Malian tactician and will be eager to extend their recent unbeaten run against a European opponent on hostile territory.

The match could also mark a significant milestone for Alex Iwobi, with the Fulham midfielder in line to earn his 100th international cap for Nigeria.

Poland, meanwhile, will be desperate to respond after back-to-back defeats and will rely heavily on veteran striker Robert Lewandowski and midfield playmaker Piotr Zielinski to inspire a turnaround in front of their home supporters.
