According to Opta Can, he has now scored seven Super Lig penalties without a miss, matching the benchmark set by former Galatasaray forward Falcao.
Galatasaray had already moved in front early on when Kayserispor defender Aaron Opoku diverted a dangerous cross into his own net. Osimhen then won and dispatched the penalty himself in the 26th minute, firing past the outstretched hands of the goalkeeper with a measured finish.

On the hour, Osimhen turned provider, latching onto a long pass and unselfishly teeing up Gabriel Sara, who finished first time to make it 3-0. Osimhen’s tally now stands at 14 goals in 20 appearances in all competitions this season, and his latest strike extended a scoring run that has helped Galatasaray open up a six-point lead at the top, albeit with rivals Fenerbahçe holding a game in hand.
