Victor Osimhen marked a defining night in his career by reaching the 200-goal milestone and drawing level with Radamel Falcao’s remarkable penalty record, as Galatasaray eased past Kayserispor 4-0 to tighten their grip on the Turkish Super Lig summit, footynaija.com reports.
The Nigeria striker’s calm conversion from the spot midway through the first half did more than double Galatasaray’s advantage. It took Osimhen to 200 senior goals across club and country, a split of 165 at club level and 35 for the Super Eagles, and confirmed his place among the most reliable penalty takers in the club’s recent history.

According to Opta Can, he has now scored seven Super Lig penalties without a miss, matching the benchmark set by former Galatasaray forward Falcao.
Galatasaray had already moved in front early on when Kayserispor defender Aaron Opoku diverted a dangerous cross into his own net. Osimhen then won and dispatched the penalty himself in the 26th minute, firing past the outstretched hands of the goalkeeper with a measured finish.
If the goal displayed his composure, his all-round contribution highlighted his growing influence. On the hour, Osimhen turned provider, latching onto a long pass and unselfishly teeing up Gabriel Sara, who finished first time to make it 3-0. Mauro Icardi later completed the scoring with another penalty late on.

Osimhen’s tally now stands at 14 goals in 20 appearances in all competitions this season, and his latest strike extended a scoring run that has helped Galatasaray open up a six-point lead at the top, albeit with rivals Fenerbahçe holding a game in hand.
For Kayserispor, the defeat leaves them entrenched in the relegation places, while Galatasaray’s focus now turns to a midweek Turkish Cup meeting with Istanbulspor.
