Former Nigeria and Monaco star, Victor Ikpeba, has singled out Akor Adams for praise following the striker’s impressive performances for the Super Eagles at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations, Footynaija.com reports.
Adams, who wormed his way into the Super Eagles setup after stringing together a good run of performances for La Liga club Sevilla, has earned a lot of admirers with his contributions out there in Morocco.
The 25-year-old striker has firmly established himself as a key member of the most prolific attack at this year’s tournament, forming a fluid and deadly partnership with Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman.

Not only was he on target in Nigeria’s dominant quarter-final win over Algeria, Adams also registered a goal and two assists as the Super Eagles routed Mozambique in the round of 16.
His performances have earned him widespread praise with Ikpeba, a former striker himself, the latest to join the train of Adams’ outspoken admirers.
What Ikpeba said about Akor Adams

“I personally have been really impressed with Akor Adams, just his movement and how unselfish he is,” the 52-year-old told Bet9ja.
“He’s shown that he is the future. Lots of credit to the manager. He had the faith in him and saw the potential. We already knew he had those qualities playing for Sevilla, so we’re very proud.
“He’s a big lad, it’s not easy to play against him. He’s quick with the ball and he can strike it really well. He looks like he’s been playing for the Super Eagles for years.
“He needs to remain focused and not get carried away.”
Adams will be looking to continue his impressive form at the AFCON as Nigeria set their sights on the arduous task of eliminating host nation Morocco in the semi-finals.
