Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid are preparing for a major transfer showdown after Luis Enrique unexpectedly reversed his stance and approved a move for Victor Osimhen, Footynaija.com reports.

The Nigerian striker, currently starring for Galatasaray, is now back on PSG’s agenda following months of internal resistance from Enrique, who previously felt the forward’s temperament did not fit his squad.

That position has shifted dramatically, according to a goal.com report. Concerns over Gonçalo Ramos’s inconsistency and PSG’s need for a more direct, explosive presence in attack have prompted Enrique to reconsider.

Sporting director Luis Campos, who maintained informal contact with Osimhen, has now been cleared to intensify discussions ahead of the summer window.

Galatasaray are unwilling to negotiate in January but privately accept that a substantial offer, likely above €100m, could force a decision at the end of the season. The Turkish champions paid €75m to sign Osimhen from Napoli and believe they can make a significant profit.

Real Madrid, meanwhile, have accelerated their own pursuit. The Spanish giants view Osimhen as the powerful, penalty-box striker required to reconfigure their attack and return Kylian Mbappé to his preferred left-wing role next season. Reports in Spain suggest Madrid are prepared to exceed €100m to secure him.

Their interest is also influenced by uncertainty surrounding Vinícius Júnior, who has stalled contract talks amid tension with manager Xabi Alonso.

With PSG, Real Madrid and even Barcelona monitoring developments, Osimhen is set to be at the centre of one of Europe’s most significant transfer sagas in the coming months.
