Italian outfit Pisa have taken a firm stance on their valuation of Super Eagles striker Rafiu Durosinmi amid growing interest from Belgian Pro League side KRC Genk, Footynaija.com reports.
Genk are searching for attacking reinforcements ahead of the new campaign and have identified the Nigerian forward as a priority target. Durosinmi is also believed to be open to the switch after Pisa’s relegation from Serie A, with the Italian club now preparing for life in the second tier.
According to reports from Belgium, Pisa are demanding around €10 million before allowing the 23-year-old to leave. While that valuation would make him one of Genk’s most expensive signings ever, the Smurfs could soon have the financial muscle to complete the deal.

Genk are reportedly in negotiations with Borussia Dortmund over the sale of teenage sensation Kos Karetsas in a transfer worth around €35 million. Should that move go through, Genk would have little trouble funding a move for Durosinmi.
The Nigeria international only joined Pisa from Viktoria Plzen in January after enjoying an impressive spell in the Czech Republic, where he scored 31 goals in 71 appearances.
His first six months in Italy proved far less productive, however. Durosinmi managed just one goal and one assist in 12 appearances as Pisa failed to avoid relegation from Serie A, prompting speculation that he could seek an immediate return to top-flight football elsewhere.

Genk’s interest comes as no surprise given the club’s long-standing success with Nigerian strikers. Both Paul Onuachu and Tolu Arokodare flourished at the Cegeka Arena before earning lucrative moves abroad, and the Belgian outfit now see Durosinmi as the latest forward capable of following in the footsteps of his compatriots.
Trabzonspor have also been credited with an interest in the Super Eagles striker, while Torino, Bologna, West Ham United and Freiburg are said to be keeping tabs on his situation ahead of the new season.
