Super Eagles invitee Akor Adams is looking forward to giving everything for Nigeria in the upcoming 2026 World Cup qualification matches against Lesotho and Benin, Footynaija.com reports.
Adams, one of two new faces in Eric Chelle’s attacking setup, will arrive at the Super Eagles camp in Polokwane as one of Nigeria’s most-inform forwards after scoring in his last two La Liga appearances before the international break.
The former Montpelier striker previously represented Nigeria at the 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Poland and is now on course to potentially make his debut for the senior national team in one of the upcoming games.

“For me, the focus has always been staying fit and playing consistently for my club. Everything else will fall into place. Injuries are part of the game, but I never stopped believing the opportunity would come,” Adams told Footy-Africa.
“At this point, the invitation is a confirmation of what I can achieve. It’s a reminder that everything is possible. I thank God for this chance and hopefully, I’ll get minutes on the pitch. Above all, I’m grateful to represent Nigeria.”
Heading into this last round of qualifying matches, the odds of clinching Group C’s World Cup ticket are heavily stacked against the Super Eagles after a campaign plagued by disappointing results. However, Adams is refusing to give up hope.
“Football is played until the last minute. For Nigeria, that means fighting to the end and expecting the best possible outcome,” he said. “We’ll give everything we have, and hopefully, it will be enough.”
Alongside Adams, Super Eagles boss Eric Chelle also has other fantastic striking options including the likes of Victor Osimhen, Cyriel Dessers and Tolu Arokodare at his disposal for the upcoming games.
