AC Milan are weighing up a summer move for Bayer Leverkusen’s Victor Boniface, with the Nigerian striker now firmly on their shortlist of attacking options ahead of the 2025 season, Footynaija.com reports.

Boniface, 24, caught Milan’s eye with an impressive display when the two sides met in the Champions League last October.

Although his initial effort was ruled out for offside and he was denied by Mike Maignan on a second attempt, the powerful forward eventually netted the winner in a 1-0 victory for Leverkusen — an outing Milan scouts have not forgotten.

The Rossoneri are keen to strengthen their forward line, and while Dusan Vlahovic remains a top target, Boniface is viewed as a compelling alternative.

According to Gazzetta, early talks have taken place and Milan believe a deal in the region of €30–40 million could be struck — considerably lower than his €60 million valuation earlier this year, largely due to an injury-hit campaign and the rise of Patrick Schick at Leverkusen.

Boniface, who scored 21 goals in 2023–24, possesses a blend of pace, strength, and technical quality that fits Milan’s attacking blueprint.

However, concerns remain over his fitness record — he has undergone two knee surgeries and missed large parts of last season with muscle issues.

Despite the risks, Milan are encouraged by his age, versatility, and the reduced intensity of playing one match per week next season.

Over the course of his career, the Nigeria international has registered 72 goals and 30 assists in 179 appearances for clubs in Norway, Belgium and Germany.
