Brighton & Hove Albion have confirmed the signing of Nigerian international goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie on a free transfer from Paris FC, Footynaija.com reports.

The 24-year-old shot-stopper will officially join the Women’s Super League side on 1 July when her contract with the French club expires, bringing with her a wealth of domestic and international experience.

Nnadozie, who has earned 55 caps for Nigeria since her senior debut in 2018, made 118 appearances for Paris FC after joining from Rivers Angels in 2020. She was a standout performer in the 2025 Coupe de France Féminine final, saving two penalties against Paris Saint-Germain to help secure the title.

She also featured 16 times in the UEFA Women’s Champions League and was voted the UNFP Division 1 Féminine Goalkeeper of the Season in 2024, becoming the first African to receive the honour.

Brighton head coach Dario Vidosic praised the new signing, saying: “Chiamaka is a talented and commanding goalkeeper who will bring consistency and confidence to our defensive line. She has competed at the highest level, and we’re confident she’ll add depth and drive to our ambitious squad.”

During her time at Rivers Angels, Nnadozie won the Nigeria Women’s Premier League and three Nigeria Women’s Cups. She was named IFFHS Africa’s Best Woman Goalkeeper in 2019.
