Nigeria international Tolu Arokodare has signed with renowned FIFA-licensed agent Christian Emile, as interest in the prolific Genk striker continues to grow across Europe, Footynaija.com reports.
The 24-year-old enjoyed a sensational 2024 campaign in Belgium, scoring 23 goals and providing five assists in all competitions.
His sharp form propelled Genk to the summit of the Belgian Pro League regular season, although the club fell short in the championship playoffs as Union St. Gilloise clinched the title.
Arokodare’s individual brilliance was duly recognised. He claimed the Golden Boot with 21 league goals and was named Ebony Shoe winner — an honour awarded to the best African player in Belgium’s top flight.
The Super Eagles forward has also made strides on the international stage, converting a crucial penalty in Nigeria’s Unity Cup shootout victory over Jamaica in London. He followed that up by scoring his first goal for the national team, a crucial equaliser in the friendly draw against Russia.
Arokodare may have his last match for Genk with a number of English and French clubs reportedly interested in securing his services this summer.
Joining Emile’s elite roster, Arokodare becomes a teammate in representation with the likes of Kingsley Coman, Moses Simon, and Mohamed Elneny.
And it could be the last piece of the puzzle before the former FC Cologne star makes his next big career move.
