Samuel Chukwueze’s time at AC Milan could be drawing to a close, with news suggesting the club has decided to put the Nigerian winger on the transfer market this summer, Footynaija.com reports.

The 25-year-old, who joined Milan from Villarreal in 2023 for a fee around €28 million, has struggled to live up to expectations in the Italian Serie A.

In a season filled with ups and downs, Chukwueze has scored just three goals in 24 league appearances. He also featured seven times in the UEFA Champions League and twice in the Coppa Italia but has not been able to cement a regular starting place under coach Sergio Conceicao.

Interest in Chukwueze’s signature is already heating up. Premier League side Fulham, who nearly signed him in the last winter window, are back in the picture and could offer him another route into English football.

Also, clubs from La Liga, where he once shone with Villarreal, and teams from Saudi Arabia are also said to be keeping close tabs on his situation.

Chukwueze’s form has also been a talking point at international level. Despite scoring a brilliant solo goal against Rwanda earlier this year, he had a mixed campaign during Nigeria’s 2025 AFCON qualifiers and the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

Earlier, a report by Legit.ng revealed AC Milan have declared Chukwueze surplus to requirements, and they are already looking for replacements, with Bologna’s Riccardo Orsolini high on their list after a January move for him fell through.

With Milan eager to freshen up their squad after missing out on major silverware, the coming weeks could be decisive for Chukwueze’s next chapter. After a tough spell at San Siro, a move might just give the Super Eagles winger the fresh energy he needs to bounce back to his best.
