Nottingham Forest defender Ola Aina has opened up on his standout moments and top teammates from the current campaign, Footynaija.com reports.
The Nigerian international, who joined Forest after a spell in Italy, has been a regular feature under Nuno Espírito Santo this season, starting 30 consecutive Premier League matches before a calf injury sidelined him during the 1-0 win over Manchester United on April 1.
The 27-year-old is now facing a race against time to be fit for Forest’s upcoming clash with Tottenham Hotspur in north London.
Reflecting on the season so far, Aina picked the 1-0 home win over Liverpool as his favourite moment in a Forest shirt.
“My favourite moment? I am going to say the 1-0 win over Liverpool,” he said in a revealing interview with the club’s official YouTube channel.

However, when asked which game meant the most to him, the former Chelsea man opted for the win over Manchester City.
“Probably the Man City game, just because City are one of the best teams and we were able to beat them,” he added.
Aina also hailed goalkeeper Matz Sels as Forest’s unsung hero this season, praising the Belgian for his crucial saves since arriving at the club.
“He has kept us in a few games this season. If it weren’t for him, it could have been dark.“
When asked to select Forest’s best goal of the campaign, Aina pointed to Morgan Gibbs-White’s finish against Wolves.
“That was a great goal — good buildup play, nice little ball back in. That was fantastic,” he said.
For his Premier League Team of the Season pick, Aina named striker Chris Wood, who has chipped in with important goals throughout the campaign.
