Bruno Onyemaechi has helped Olympiacos clinch their 48th Greek Super League title, a historic triumph that also marks the club’s 100th anniversary, Footynaija.com reports.
The Nigerian left-back, who joined the Greek giants in January 2025 from Boavista, has now celebrated a league winner’s medal in just a few months at the club.
Olympiacos confirmed their dominance in Greece by beating rivals like AEK Athens and PAOK to the league trophy.

The success places Onyemaechi in a select group of Nigerians to play for Olympiacos. He is the seventh Nigerian to represent the club, following well-known names like Emmanuel Emenike and Henry Onyekuru. But unlike the others, Onyemaechi has made history by lifting the trophy during the club’s centenary celebrations.
For the Super Eagles, Onyemaechi continues to push for regular selection under head coach Eric Chelle. He was part of the squad that reached the final of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
Now, with a league title to his name, he will be looking to carry this winning momentum into Nigeria’s upcoming World Cup qualifiers.
Olympiacos’ latest triumph stretches their lead at the top of the all-time Greek champions list, with Panathinaikos next on 20 titles and AEK Athens with 13.
