Nigerian forward Bamidele Yusuf has expressed his satisfaction with his performance after playing a key role in Ferencvaros’ impressive 3–1 victory over Celtic in the UEFA Europa League, Footynaija.com reports.
The 25-year-old winger delivered an outstanding display at Celtic Park on Thursday night, contributing to all three of Ferencvaros’ goals in their opening league-phase fixture against the Hoops.
Yusuf opened the scoring in the 20th minute when his left-footed cross-shot took a deflection off Celtic defender Liam Scales and found the back of the net.

The Nigerian then produced two assists, setting up Kristoffer Zachariassen and Daniel Arzani as the Hungarian side secured a massive victory away from home.
Following his decisive contributions, Yusuf made way for Jonathan Levi in the 66th minute. Speaking after the game, the Nigerian forward reflected on the team’s hard-fought triumph and his individual contribution.
“We have come a long way and it was very difficult to get these three points away from home. Everyone is very happy,” Yusuf told M4 Sport.
“The coach is the boss; he decides where I am good. I am ready to play in any position and I am very happy.
“I am happy with my current performance, with the goal and the two assists, but it was really fantastic from everyone.”
Thursday night’s victory represents another positive step for Ferencvaros, who impressively navigated a very demanding qualifying campaign to reach the Europa League league phase.
The Hungarian champions also defeated Trabzonspor 5-0 on aggregate in the playoff round before beginning their European campaign with a convincing win in Glasgow.
Having demonstrated incredible attacking quality against Celtic, Yusuf will be looking to replicate that level of impact when Ferencvaros return to domestic action against Nyiregyhaza Spartacus FC on Sunday.
