Trabzonspor stunned Galatasaray with a 4-0 victory at Papara Park on Saturday, September 19, in a result that sent shockwaves through the Turkish Süper Lig, Footynaija reports.
Chibuike Nwaiwu produced the strongest performance among the three Nigerians involved. The centre-back played all 90 minutes and earned a 7.4 Sofascore rating after helping Trabzonspor keep Galatasaray’s attack quiet.
Nwaiwu was involved early when he made an important intervention against Leroy Sané in the 15th minute. He also helped Trabzonspor protect their lead in the second half as Galatasaray struggled to find a way back into the match.

Paul Onuachu started on the bench despite scoring twice against Gençlerbirliği earlier this month. The Nigerian striker entered in the 59th minute, replacing Franculino Djú, with Trabzonspor already 3-0 ahead.
Onuachu could not add to his recent scoring run but played his part as the home side controlled the final stages. He finished with a 6.5 rating.
Lesley Ugochukwu had an even shorter outing. The midfielder replaced Lucas Torreira in the 68th minute, with Galatasaray already facing a three-goal deficit.
Ugochukwu struggled to make a major impact during his brief appearance as he was shown a straight red card after only 19 minutes on the pitch. The France youth international of Nigerian descent ended with a lowly 5.5 rating.
Trabzonspor then completed the rout in the 80th minute, adding a fourth goal and sealing one of their most emphatic victories of the Süper Lig campaign.
Nwaiwu therefore left the pitch with the highest rating of the three Nigerians.
Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen missed the encounter due to an injury he suffered earlier in September.
