Amedspor manager Besnik Hasi has praised Nigerian striker Gift Orban after another impressive display helped the newly promoted Turkish Super Lig fight back from two goals down to draw 2-2 away at Kasımpasa on Sunday, Footynaija.com reports.
Orban who started the game on the bench, entered into the fray after half-time with Amedspor trailing 1-0. Kasımpasa went on to double their advantage seven minutes into the second half, but the Nigerian striker quickly changed the complexion of the game.
Orban pulled one back in the 59th minute before completing Amedspor’s comeback with his second goal in the 83rd minute. His brace secured a valuable point for Amedspor and continued what has been an impressive start in Turkey for the former Lyon forward.

The in-form Nigerian forward also scored the winning goal against Trabzonspor the previous week, meaning he has now found the net three times in his last two Super Lig appearances.
Reacting after the game, Hasi expressed his delight with Orban’s response after coming off the bench and highlighted the importance of his goals to Amedspor’s comeback.
“Scoring goals is very important for strikers,” Hasi said, per Amed TV.
“Gift did just that when he came on. He did it last week, and today he did it again in a way that directly impacted the game.
“He gave a very good answer to the question ‘Why am I here?’ while on the bench.”
Orban’s three goals in his last two league matches have now directly contributed to four points for Amedspor, underlining his growing importance to a newly promoted side that has managed to gather an impressive tally of seven points from their first four Super Lig outings.
