Norwich City are weighing up a potential move for promising Nigerian winger Daniel Job as the EFL Championship club continues to explore options to strengthen in attack, Footynaija.com reports.
According to Read Norwich, the Canaries have entered the race for the 20-year-old, who has emerged as one of the standout performers in Norway with Kongsvinger IL.
Norwich are understood to be looking for another winger following a serious pre-season injury suffered by Ali Ahmed, with Job now among the players being considered by Philippe Clement’s side.

However, the Championship outfit could face strong competition for the Nigerian’s signature, with several clubs across Europe also keeping tabs on his situation.
Serie A side Lecce have already tested Kongsvinger’s resolve with a €2.5 million offer plus add-ons, but the Norwegian club rejected the proposal and are reportedly holding out for a fee in the region of €4 million plus additional payments.
Job’s performances this season explain the growing interest in his services. The winger has registered seven goals and eight assists in 16 appearances in the Norwegian second tier, establishing himself as an important attacking outlet for Kongsvinger since joining the club in February.
His form has also earned him the club’s Player of the Month award for June and July after supporters voted him the standout performer during the period.
Beyond Norwich and Lecce, Austrian giants RB Salzburg, Swiss club FC Basel and Swedish side AIK are also understood to be monitoring the Nigerian.
Job began his European career with Sarpsborg 08 after developing at Nigeria’s Future Pro Academy before making the move to Kongsvinger earlier this year.
With Kongsvinger reportedly unwilling to sell unless their valuation is met, Norwich will now have to decide whether the Nigerian winger is worth the significant investment required to bring him to England.
