A move to one of Europe’s biggest football leagues is now the main goal for Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Tolu Arokodare, Footynaija reports.
According to Sky Sports UK, the Super Eagles forward prefers playing in England, Spain, Italy, Germany or France as he considers his next step. Although Turkish club Trabzonspor are interested in signing him, Arokodare wants to continue his career in one of Europe’s top five leagues.
Italian side Fiorentina have already made the first move by sending an opening offer to Wolves. However, the proposal, which was a loan deal, has not impressed the Championship club. Wolves believe the offer is too low, meaning both clubs still have plenty to discuss before any deal can happen.
Arokodare joined Wolves in September 2025 after an impressive spell at Belgian club Racing Genk. He scored 21 league goals to finish as the Belgian Pro League’s top scorer and also won the Ebony Shoe award, given to the best African player in Belgium.
His first season in England was more difficult. The 25-year-old managed six goals and two assists in 38 matches across all competitions as Wolves struggled throughout the campaign and were relegated from the Premier League to the Championship.
Despite that setback, Arokodare remains a player attracting interest across Europe. The Nigerian striker also has experience in Germany after making 10 Bundesliga appearances for Cologne during the 2020-21 season, which could help his chances of securing another move to one of Europe’s leading leagues.
