Chidera Ejuke’s future at Sevilla appears to be entering its final stages after the Super Eagles winger was left behind for the club’s pre-season tour, Footynaija.com reports.
Sevilla flew to the Netherlands and Germany this week for the next phase of their preparations, but Ejuke was not part of the travelling group. The Nigerian instead remained in Seville as talks over his next move continued, a decision that has further strengthened expectations that he will leave the club before the summer transfer window closes.
The development is hardly a surprise. Ejuke has been linked with an exit for much of the summer after falling out of Sevilla’s long-term plans. Reports earlier this month indicated that the club would be willing to listen to suitable offers for the winger, who joined as a free agent in 2024.

Now, Sevilla are hoping those talks will gather pace while the team are away on tour.
Reports in Spain indicate the club are waiting for Ejuke to decide on one of the offers currently on the table. His departure would also help Sevilla continue rebuilding the team, with several other players also expected to leave before the new La Liga season begins.
The 28-year-old has attracted interest from clubs in Saudi Arabia, while Fulham have also been credited with monitoring his situation in recent months as they look to strengthen their wide attacking options. Sunderland have previously been mentioned as another possible destination.
For Ejuke, a move could offer the fresh start he has been searching for. He showed glimpses of his quality during his first months in Spain before injuries interrupted his progress, and he was never able to regain a regular place in the side. Even so, his pace, close control and ability to beat defenders one-on-one remain qualities that continue to attract interest.
