Super Eagles striker Akor Adams is not sweating over the growing speculations surrounding his future at La Liga outfit Sevilla FC, Footynaija.com reports.
Adams has been the subject of relentless transfer speculation in recent weeks, with multiple reports linking the former Montpellier striker with a potential return to France where the likes of Marseille and Lyon are reportedly interested in his services.
Earlier in the week, a report from Spain indicated that a number of clubs in Italy’s Serie A are closely monitoring the 26-year-old ahead of the new campaign. One club specifically mentioned as a possible destination was long-term admirers AC Milan.
However, Adams has moved to downplay the ongoing speculation, maintaining that rumours are a normal feature of the transfer window and nothing concrete is developing at the moment.

“It is normal that during this period there will be rumours of transfer moves for a lot of players, and not just myself,” Adams said, per Footy-Africa.
“I am happy that my work is being recognised, but there is nothing to it. I have not spoken to my agent, and I do not take such things seriously because right now it is time to relax and recharge for next season.
“We did not meet our goals last season, so the focus right now is to see how we can challenge for European places next season. That is the goal, and I am not aware of, neither am I thinking about, all those transfer rumours.”

Adams contributed ten goals and three assists in 32 La Liga appearances last season, playing a significant role in helping Sevilla preserve their Spanish top flight status after a largely underwhelming campaign.
Despite this, Sevilla are understood to be open to a sale as they look to generate funds through player departures this summer.
