Nottingham Forest manager Vitor Pereira has remained coy over the potential availability of Super Eagles defender Ola Aina as his side prepares to welcome Newcastle United to The City Ground on Sunday, Footynaija.com reports.
Aina suffered a knock in the first leg of Forest’s Europa League semi-final against Aston Villa just over a week ago. This caused him to miss the second leg encounter at Villa Park last Thursday as the Tricky Trees suffered a 4-1 aggregate defeat and failed to reach the finals.
Following that elimination from the Europa League, full attention now returns to domestic affairs where Nottingham Forest will be looking to put further distance between themselves and the relegation zone.
Ahead of hosting the Magpies on Sunday, Pereira kept his cards close to his chest when quizzed about the return of some of his injured stars including Aina.

“I can’t answer because I don’t know, I don’t know about Morgan, I don’t know about Ola, I don’t know about Callum, Murillo or Dan, though I think Dan can maybe come back,” Pereira said, per quotes on the club’s official website.
“I have to understand the situation before the game. We have a day to recharge and to come back. Then we’ll play in front of our supporters at home to try and get points and improve our current situation in the Premier League.
“Let’s see what players we have available once we have recovered.”

Despite their disappointing 4-0 defeat to Villa in the Europa League on Thursday, Nottingham Forest, with three consecutive wins, are in scintillating form when it comes to the Premier League.
Their last outing in the English top flight yielded a convincing 3-1 victory over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge and they’ll be looking to replicate that performance when Eddie Howe’s men rock up to The City Ground tomorrow.
