Super Eagles midfielder Tochukwu Nnadi has opened up on his desire to remain at Olympique de Marseille beyond the upcoming summer transfer window, Footynaija.com reports.
Nnadi is less than six months into his career at the Stade Velodrome but there have already been reports linking him with a potential move away in the summer, following a difficult start to life in the French Ligue 1.
However, the Nigeria international’s fortunes in Marseille have improved in recent weeks with back to back starts in the French top flight for the first time since his arrival in January suggesting a growing importance to Habib Beye’s side.
Nnadi will be in contention for a third consecutive start when Marseille travel to the Stade Oceane to take on Le Havre. Speaking at a press conference ahead of the game, the 22-year-old star squashed rumours surrounding his future by reiterating his desire to prove his worth in a Marseille shirt.

“Staying at the training ground is the same for me as being at home, because I live alone. It’s a decision by the director, we are football players, we have to accept it,” Nnadi said, via L’Equipe.
“As far as I’m concerned, I don’t think there’s much pressure, it’s the reality of the facts. We have to live things to the fullest, have fun, work hard and that’s it. I feel good, I play, so it’s the most important thing for me.
“I am happy to be here, I am grateful for every opportunity I can have. As a player, I think it’s really nice to play at the Velodrome and I want to be able to do it as much as possible.
“I don’t know my future, but I want to stay and prove that I belong to this club, that I deserve to be here. I think I’ve come through the most difficult period.”

Currently chasing qualification for European football ahead of next season and with only two games left this term, Marseille cannot afford to drop points against Le Havre on Sunday.
Nnadi will be hoping more opportunities come his way between now and the end of the season as he looks to help Beye’s side finish this campaign as strongly as possible.
