Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has been warned that his transfer value could begin to fall if he remains at Galatasaray beyond this summer, Footynaija reports.

The former Napoli forward finished another outstanding campaign in Istanbul as the most valuable player in the Turkish Süper Lig, with Transfermarkt maintaining his valuation at €75 million. No other player in the division currently comes close to that figure.

Osimhen has transformed the profile of Turkish football since arriving from Napoli. After initially joining on loan, Galatasaray later completed a permanent deal worth €75 million, breaking the previous Turkish transfer record by a huge margin. The Nigerian international also became the highest-paid player in the country, with reports in Türkiye estimating his total yearly earnings at between €20 million and €21 million through salary, bonuses and commercial agreements.

🚨🔵 | BREAKING: If Alonso wants one signing that changes the whole emotional temperature at #Chelsea, Victor Osimhen is the name.

On the pitch, Osimhen has delivered consistently. The 27-year-old has scored 59 goals in 74 matches in all competitions and played a major role in Galatasaray securing consecutive league titles.

Transfermarkt’s Turkish market value administrator Sinan Yener explained why the striker’s price has remained stable despite a fresh review of almost 500 Süper Lig players.

“Top strikers like Victor Osimhen are always in very high demand in the transfer market, and he is clearly one of the elite forwards in world football right now,” Yener said. “Especially with clubs like Barcelona and Arsenal being linked to him, we decided to keep his market value at €75 million in this update.”

However, Yener also warned that remaining in Turkey for another season could eventually reduce Osimhen’s standing in the market.

“The big question is how much longer Osimhen will be able to remain at his current market value?” he said. “If he stays in the Süper Lig beyond this summer, his market value will most likely begin to decrease because €75 million is still an exceptionally high valuation for the Turkish league.”

Arsenal continue to monitor the striker as they search for a proven goalscorer capable of leading another Premier League title challenge, while Chelsea, Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid and Barcelona are also following developments closely ahead of the summer transfer window.
