Hull City manager Serjej Jakirovic has revealed that his current favourite player in the Turkish Super Lig is a Nigerian forward, Footynaija.com reports.
Nigerian strikers have enjoyed a remarkable presence in Turkey this season with Victor Osimhen and Paul Onuachu both producing impressive numbers for their respective clubs in the top flight.
Osimhen, who joined Galatasaray amid huge expectations, has continued to prove his quality despite enduring a campaign disrupted at different stages by injury setbacks.

The Super Eagles talisman has still managed to register an impressive 28 goal contributions (20G, 8A) in 32 appearances across all competitions while helping Galatasaray edge closer to another Super Lig crown.
At Trabzonspor, Onuachu has been equally devastating in front of goal. The towering Nigerian striker has netted 24 goals across all competitions this term and currently leads the Super Lig scoring charts with 22 goals heading into the final two games of the campaign.
Jakirovic reveals Victor Osimhen as favourite Super Lig star
While both forwards have stood out with their performances this season, it is Osimhen who appears to have particularly caught Jakirovic’s attention.

“Victor Osimhen is a fantastic player,” the former Kayserispor boss said in a recent chat with Sabah Spor. “Galatasaray struggles a lot when he’s not there. You can see the difference he makes on the pitch.
“Last season, Galatasaray struggled in their match against Kayserispor, but they won. And they secured the championship in that match. Osimhen has an incredible mentality.
“There were still two weeks left in the league. Normally, players can go on vacation. But he stayed and played. That’s why he’s such a valuable player.”

Jakirovic currently manages another Nigerian star Semi Ajayi at Hull City and at the moment, they’re focused on the huge task of securing promotion to the Premier League via the EFL Championship play-offs.
The Tigers, who played and drew the first leg of their semi-final clash against Millwall on Friday will now be looking to go all out for a win in the second leg when they rock up to The Den two days from now.
