Talented Nigerian youngster Akin Oluwashile has arrived in Belgium to begin a trial with KAA Gent as the Jupiler Pro League side weigh up a potential move for the highly-rated midfielder, Footynaija.com reports.
Oluwashile will spend the coming weeks training with Gent’s development squad, often referred to as Team B, where he will have the opportunity to showcase his abilities in front of the club’s technical staff.
The trial represents a major step in Oluwashile’s young career as he looks to secure his first move to European football.

According to reports, Gent’s interest in the midfielder follows his impressive performances for the Nigeria national under-20 football team during the WAFU B tournament.
The defensive midfielder stood out with his composure on the ball and ability to control the tempo in midfield, qualities that have placed him firmly on the radar of several scouts across the continent.
Club officials are expected to closely monitor the youngster during his trial period, and should he make the desired impression, Gent could move to offer him a professional contract.
