Union Saint-Gilloise manager David Hubert is aware that Super Eagles forward Ademola Lookman is one of the players his side must pay close attention to ahead of their UEFA Champions League meeting with Atalanta, Footynaija.com reports.
Hubert’s side have managed only six points from their seven Champions League outings this season and risk elimination from Europe’s elite competition if they fail to secure maximum points in this upcoming clash against La Dea.
Speaking ahead of the clash, Hubert identified Lookman and De Ketelaere as two major threats for Atalanta. But the Belgian tactician went on to emphasize that his team cannot afford to focus on just those two players.

“Lookman moves between the lines, De Ketelaere creates play, provides depth, and is intelligent. But we don’t just play against them,” he said in quotes revealed by Tutto Atalanta.
“We need to not rush and stick to our game plan, adapting to the opponent. They play a lot on the wings and are very attacking. The goal is clear: withstand the pressure and strike at the right time.”

Atalanta are in a strong position heading into this encounter, with 13 points to their name after recording four wins, one draw and two defeats from their seven previous outings in the competition this season.
With a place in the play-off rounds already secured, La Dea will be targeting one of the eight available automatic qualification slots. However, it will require a very convincing win over Union Saint-Gilloise out there in Brussels.
Lookman is in contention for a return to Atalanta’s starting XI for the first time since returning from international duty. La Dea manager Rafaele Palladino will be hoping the Super Eagles star can replicate the form he displayed while away at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
