Super Eagles striker Emmanuel Dennis is in line to return from a six-month spell on the sidelines after securing a winter transfer to Danish Supaligaen side Brøndby IF as a free agent, Footynaija.com reports.
Dennis endured a difficult first half of the 2025/2026 season after failing to sort out his future before the close of the 2025 summer transfer window following his departure from Nottingham Forest in August.
The 28-year-old striker, who has been on trial in the West Country since the first week of Brøndby’s training camp, will now make a long-awaited return to competitive action after penning a two and a half year deal with the Danish club.
Reflecting on the move, Dennis couldn’t hide his delight at the warm welcome he received from everyone at the club and expressed profound gratitude for the opportunity to represent the West Country club.

“I am very happy to have signed with the club. I have seen video clips of the fans. They have a lot of energy, and so do I. I really appreciate the club giving me this opportunity and I am very excited to get started. Hopefully we will achieve great things together,” the former Watford man told Brøndby IF’s official channels.
“The first week with the boys was fantastic. We found chemistry really quickly. They welcomed me so well that it felt like we had known each other for years. I could feel the love right away, and that made it even more attractive to me. Everyone was so nice and helpful, and I can’t wait to play on the same team as them.”
Dennis is currently in England trying to sort out his residence and work permit after which he will to link up with Brøndby IF for the remainder of the 2025/2026 Danish Supuligaen season.
