Super Eagles striker Terem Moffi could barely hide his excitement during his unveiling as FC Porto’s latest addition after securing a loan move from Ligue 1 side OGC Nice, Footynaija.com reports.

Moffi finally got his desired move away from the Allianz Riviera on Friday after Nice and Porto agreed terms on a six-month loan spell, with the Portuguese giants reserving the option to make the deal permanent at the end of the season.

Speaking at his first interview as a Porto player, the 26-year-old Nigeria international expressed gratitude to the club’s hierarchy for the opportunity to represent the 30-time Liga Portugal champions.

“I feel very proud to be here, to wear the colours of the club. It is really emotional for me, and I appreciate the president, coach, and fans,” Moffi told the club’s official website.

“It is a club that always strives to win trophies, to win games in the Champions League and Liga Portugal. We know how important this is to the fans and to the Porto family, so it is really good to be here.”

Moffi will reunite with former Nice manager Francesco Farioli, who now heads the affairs at Porto and the Super Eagles forward is looking forward to re-establishing that working relationship at Estadio do Dragao.

“We worked together two years ago and coach Francesco Farioli is someone who likes to focus on the small details. He focuses on those details to make you evolve,” added Moffi.

“When he left, he went to Ajax and had a great season there, now at FC Porto he is also doing something extraordinary, so he has all my respect and consideration.”

Moffi may get his first opportunity to play for Porto in a couple of days when they travel to the Estadio Municipal de Rio Maior for their Liga Portugal clash against Casa Pia AC.
