Super Eagles’s first-choice goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali has entered the radar of three-time CAF Champions League winners Raja Casablanca as the Moroccan giants look to reinforce between the sticks, Footynaija.com reports.
Nwabali’s exploits in the Super Eagles setup as well as in the South African Betway Premiership for Chippa United has made him one of the most sought-after shot-stoppers on the continent.
Due to his impressive displays, especially since coming to the limelight for Nigeria during the most recent Africa Cup of Nations tournament, Nwabali’s future at Chippa United has been the subject of unending speculations.

Last summer, the 29-year-old goalie was widely expected to part ways with the Chilli Boys, but he eventually put pen to paper on a three-year contract extension with the club and was subsequently named team captain.
Nevertheless, this summer has brought with it another round of speculations surrounding the future of the Super Eagles goalie. Several reports in the past months have linked him with a move to Chippa’s Betway Premiership rivals Kaizer Chiefs.
However, a fresh report from Africa Foot claims that Moroccan giants Raja Casablanca have now set their sights on recruiting the former Enyimba International goalkeeper ahead of the 2025/2026 Botola Pro League season.
Raja endured an abysmal 2024/2025 season by their lofty standards. They not only failed to defend their Botola Pro League crown, they finished in a distant fifth place, 22 points behind champions RSB Berkane.

Heading into the new campaign, the 13-time Botola Pro winners want to reclaim their perch at the top of Morocco’s first division, and they view Nwabali’s addition as pivotal to achieving that aim.
As reported by Africa Foot, sources close to the negotiation process say that discussions are advancing positively and it may only be a matter of hours until the move is completed.
