Victor Osimhen’s highly-anticipated transfer from Napoli to Galatasaray is on the brink of completion, Footynaija.com reports.

Both clubs are reportedly inching toward finalising a €75 million deal that would make the Nigerian striker the biggest signing in Turkish football history.

The 26-year-old forward has already given the green light to Galatasaray’s contract proposal, which includes a reported salary package worth €18 million per season including bonuses.

Osimhen, who netted 37 goals last campaign, has made it clear he wants to play under Okan Buruk in Istanbul, having turned down interest from Saudi side Al-Hilal and other European clubs.

Crucially, Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis appears to have softened his stance on payment structure.

While initially insistent on Osimhen’s €130m release clause being paid upfront, Napoli are now prepared to accept a staggered deal.

According to Fabrizio Romano via Calciomercato, Galatasaray’s latest offer includes €40m upfront, with the remaining €35m split into two equal instalments payable in May 2026 and May 2027.

The Turkish champions are optimistic that a breakthrough will come before Napoli’s pre-season camp begins on Tuesday, with Osimhen potentially excused from joining up with Antonio Conte’s squad.

However, two final points remain under discussion. Napoli are demanding firm bank guarantees for the initial €40m sum and are pushing to have both €17.5m instalments completed by mid-2026, a year earlier than proposed. While the first hurdle has been cleared, the second remains a sticking point.

Galatasaray remain confident of closing the deal swiftly, with all signs pointing toward an imminent announcement that could reshape the Turkish Super Lig and end one of football’s longest-running transfer sagas.
