Nigerian striker Daniel Udoh put in a lively performance as Wycombe Wanderers held Tottenham Hotspur to a thrilling 2-2 draw in a pre-season encounter on Wednesday, Footynaija.com reports.
The League One side gave an excellent account of themselves against the reigning UEFA Europa League champions, with Udoh instrumental in one of their goals and putting in a tireless shift leading the line.
Tottenham, who have been linked with a move for another Nigerian star this summer, began brightly and took the lead through Pape Matar Sarr in the 14th minute. However, Wycombe grew into the game and were rewarded when Junior Quitirna levelled the score shortly after the half-hour mark.
Udoh, who scored eight goals in League One last season after joining Wycombe from Shrewsbury Town, showed his quality again five minutes into the second half. The 28-year-old forward turned provider, slipping in Quitirna to fire past the Spurs goalkeeper and complete a remarkable turnaround.

Tottenham responded through Sarr once again, who netted his second of the evening in the 66th minute to ensure the match ended all square.
It was Spurs’ second pre-season match following their 2-0 win over Reading, while Wycombe have already faced Sutton United, Cheltenham Town and Barnet as part of their build-up to the new League One campaign.
Udoh was substituted in the 88th minute to warm applause from the home crowd after a tireless performance that will give Wycombe plenty of optimism ahead of the new season.
