Brentford have decided to send young Super Eagles defender Benjamin Fredrick out on season-long loan to Belgian Pro League outfit FCV Dender ahead of the 25/26 campaign, Footynaija.com reports.
Benjamin Fredrick, having joined Brentford in 2023, spent the last two seasons playing for the London club’s U21s. During that time, he greatly impressed at the heart of defence and was duly named The Bees’ U21 Player of the Year last season.
With the 2025/2026 football season fast approaching, Brentford have now chosen to send the talented 20-year-old center-back on loan to newly promoted Belgian Pro League side FCV Dender in a bid to help him gain some experience of first-team football.
Who is Benjamin Fredrick?

Frederick is a product of the Simoiben Football Academy, founded by Super Eagles star Moses Simon. The young defender was born in Kaduna, a North-Western state in Nigeria where he started his career.
From the Simoiben Football Academy, he joined ABS FC in 2021 before switching to Nigeria Professional Football League side Nasarawa United in 2022 where he spent the 22/23 season featuring at both center-back and right-back.
In the summer of 2023, Fredrick signed for Brentford on loan from Nasarawa United, with the move eventually becoming a permanent one after he impressed during his loan spell.

Fredrick is a full-fledged international after making his debut for the Nigerian senior national team during the Unity Cup tournament that was played at Brentford’s G-tech Community Stadium in May.
