Biography

Tyronne Efe Ebuehi was born on December 16, 1995, in Haarlem, Netherlands, to a Nigerian father and Dutch mother. He began his football development in the Netherlands, coming through the youth ranks at amateur club HFC EDO before moving to VV Young Boys and later joining the academy of Eredivisie outfit ADO Den Haag.
Ebuehi made his professional debut for ADO Den Haag in 2014 and gradually became a regular in the Dutch top flight, catching the attention of scouts with his attacking intent and strong defensive positioning.
His consistent rise earned him a move to Portuguese giants Benfica in 2018, but a long-term injury kept him out for the entire 2018–19 season, stalling his progress.
To regain fitness and form, he was loaned to FC Twente for the 2020–21 Eredivisie season, where he rediscovered his rhythm and became a key part of the squad.
That loan spell revived his career, leading to another loan, this time to Serie A club Venezia, for the 2021–22 season.
In July 2022, Ebuehi signed a permanent deal with Empoli in Italy. He featured regularly across the 2022–23 and 2023–24 Serie A seasons, showing reliability at right-back and contributing both defensively and going forward.
On the international front, Ebuehi opted to represent Nigeria and made his debut in June 2017 in a friendly against Togo. He was part of Nigeria’s squad for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
