Saudi Pro League side Al Nassr are weighing up a move for Nigerian international Victor Boniface as they prepare for life without Colombian striker Jhon Duran, Footynaija.com reports.

Duran, who only joined Al Nassr from Aston Villa in January, is reportedly close to a return to Europe, with Turkish giants Fenerbahce leading the race for his signature.

With Cristiano Ronaldo committing to a sensational new deal that ends speculation over his own future, attention at Al Nassr has now turned to bolstering the club’s attacking options.

Boniface, a key figure in Bayer Leverkusen’s domestic double-winning campaign, is back on their radar, according to transfer insider Ben Jacobs.

The 24-year-old forward was close to joining Al Nassr in January before a late collapse saw Duran signed instead.

Boniface has since continued to impress in the Bundesliga, where he has notched 32 goals and provided 12 assists in 61 appearances across two seasons.

He is currently valued at around €40 million and earns €38,500 weekly — a wage Al Nassr are confident they can surpass with a substantial offer.

The Nigerian’s physicality, pace, and link-up play make him a natural fit to partner Ronaldo in the final third. Boniface could become the first Super Eagles star to be club teammates with the Portuguese great, who previously starred at Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Juventus.

No formal offer has yet been submitted by Al Nassr, but the coming weeks are expected to be decisive in determining Boniface’s future.
