Newly promoted Paris FC are eyeing a bold swoop for Nigerian international Moses Simon, with the winger attracting serious attention following an outstanding campaign with Nantes, Footynaija.com reports.
Simon, 29, was the standout performer for Nantes in the 2024/25 Ligue 1 season, contributing eight goals and ten assists in 32 appearances. His influence was immense, accounting for nearly half of the team’s total goals as the club narrowly avoided relegation, finishing 13th.
Despite his importance, Simon’s future at the Beaujoire remains uncertain. With just one year left on his current deal and no agreement yet on an extension, the door is open for potential suitors.
According to GFNF, Paris FC have already tested the waters with a €5 million bid, which Nantes rejected, valuing the Super Eagles star closer to €12 million. The capital club, keen to bolster their squad ahead of their return to top-flight football, are expected to return with an improved offer.
Premier League sides Everton and Leeds have also been linked, while Ligue 1 rivals Marseille and Rennes have expressed interest. However, Simon, who joined Nantes in 2020 and currently ranks 25th on their all-time scorers list, is reportedly prioritising stability ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Sources close to the player suggest he is considering staying put, especially as he eyes French citizenship and possibly a future beyond football in France.
Nantes fans are urging the club to keep hold of their talisman, as they prepare for another challenging Ligue 1 campaign.
