The wait to discover Victor Osimhen’s next club continues as Napoli have knocked back a bid for the prolific Super Eagles striker from Saudi Pro League giants Al Hilal, Footynaija.com reports.

Osimhen is still widely expected to seal a permanent move away from reigning Serie A champions Napoli after spending the 2024/2025 season on a very successful loan spell with Turkish Super Lig giants Galatasaray.

The Nigerian striker is reportedly not short of suitors in Europe’s biggest leagues with the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain all linked with an interest in his signature.

However, the club that has shown the most interest in signing Osimhen so far is Saudi Pro League cash-rich giants Al Hilal. The Middle-East money bags are desperate to strengthen their ranks ahead of this summer’s Club World Cup.

According to Sky Sports, Al Hilal submitted a €70 million offer for Osimhen’s signature but saw it rebuffed by Napoli who value the Nigeria international at €75 million which is his set release clause.

The player himself doesn’t seem to be keen on making the move despite Al Hilal’s tempting salary offer of about €26 million per season. He is believed to favour a stay in one of Europe’s top five leagues where he can continue to compete at the highest level.

With Al Hilal’s latest failed attempt, it is uncertain whether the Saudi Pro League giants will make another approach for the 26-year-old marksman.

Meanwhile, Galatasaray have also made no secret of their desire to retain Osimhen’s services after his impressive 37 goal campaign at the Turkish capital to deliver the Super Lig and Turkish Cup for the RAMS Park faithful.
