Ademola Lookman appears set to leave Atalanta this summer, with Juventus and Napoli leading the race for the Nigeria international ahead of Arsenal, footynaija.com reports.

The 27-year-old winger has flourished in Serie A since joining Atalanta from RB Leipzig in 2022.

A former Charlton Athletic academy product, Lookman has also featured for Everton, Fulham, and Leicester City in England. But it’s in Bergamo where he truly made his mark — netting 52 goals and delivering 25 assists in 117 appearances.

His crowning moment came in May, when he fired a sensational hat-trick past Bayer Leverkusen to hand Atalanta their first-ever European trophy — the UEFA Europa League title.

However, despite his heroics, tensions behind the scenes have taken a toll. A mid-season clash with head coach Gian Piero Gasperini soured his relationship with the club, prompting speculation that Sunday’s friendly against Parma could be his farewell.

Transfer insider Matteo Moretto told IlBianconero: “Lookman will leave Atalanta. In the last few hours, there have been rumours about the possibility of him moving to Arsenal, although they have not been confirmed, due to his age and characteristics.

“The player has been proposed to many teams in Europe, but the most interested are Juventus and Napoli.”

Interestingly, Napoli’s manager Antonio Conte had urged the club to sign Lookman in January as a potential replacement for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. Now, with Conte’s name also being linked with Juventus, the move could be reignited in Turin.
