Super Falcons goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie has reportedly agreed a move to Women’s Super League side Everton, bringing an end to her impressive five-year spell at Paris FC, Footynaija.com reports.

The 24-year-old shot-stopper, according to reports in the local media, has signed a pre-contract agreement with the Merseyside club, where she will join her international teammate, Toni Payne.

During Nnadozie’s time at Paris FC, the 2018 Africa Women Cup of Nations winner has risen to become one of the best goalkeepers in the business.

Having joined the French side from Nigeria’s Rivers Angels in 2020, she quickly established herself as one of the finest goalkeepers in the Arkema Première Ligue.

Named the league’s Best Goalkeeper last season, Nnadozie is once again in contention for the award this year, following another stellar campaign that saw her keep 11 clean sheets in 18 appearances — the second-best record in the division, only behind Lyon’s Christiane Endler.

Her performances earned her a place in the league’s Team of the Season for a second consecutive year, a feat no other Nigerian player had previously achieved. She is joined in this year’s Best XI by Paris FC teammates Clara Matéo and Kessya Bussy.

Nnadozie, a two-time CAF Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year, suffered an injury during Paris FC’s 4-0 victory over Fleury 91 but remains hopeful of recovering in time for the Coupe de France Féminine final against Paris Saint-Germain on 3 May.

Paris FC and PSG will also clash in the Première Ligue playoffs on 11 May, with a coveted place in the final — and UEFA Women’s Champions League qualification — at stake.
