Victor Osimhen has called on his Nigeria teammates to treat the remaining FIFA World Cup qualifiers as battles that must be won at all costs, starting with Tuesday’s crucial encounter against Zimbabwe, Footynaija.com reports.

The Napoli striker, who netted both goals in Nigeria’s 2-0 victory over Rwanda last Friday, is urging the Super Eagles to maintain the same intensity when they take to the pitch at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo.

“We are ready. The remaining matches are wars, and we must fight them with all that we have to win,” Osimhen said upon arrival in Uyo.

Nigeria’s win over Rwanda has reignited their qualification hopes, and another victory against Zimbabwe would further solidify their position in the race for a place at the 2026 World Cup.

Victor Osimhen: “If I tell you say I no dey proud of this Super Eagles team.. I dey Lie.. We ready Die because of the Badge(Nigeria)”.

The trio of Osimhen, Ademola Lookman, and Moses Simon is expected to spearhead the attack as the Eagles chase their first home win of the qualifying campaign.

A triumph on Tuesday would see Nigeria move up to nine points, keeping them firmly in contention for top spot in the group. Their chances could be further boosted if Benin Republic and South Africa cancel each other out in their fixture in Abidjan.

Zimbabwe, who landed in Lagos over the weekend before heading to Uyo, will be looking to cause an upset, but Nigeria’s focus remains clear—secure maximum points and take another step closer to World Cup qualification.
