I’m “certainly” not happy at PSG – Former Inter Milan star confesses

Slovakian defender Milan Škriniar has expressed his disappointment with his limited opportunities at Paris Saint-Germain, Soccernet.football reports.

Despite his successful career at Inter Milan, where he captained the team and won multiple trophies, Škriniar’s move to PSG in 2023 has not gone as expected.

In an interview with Sport Aktuality as per TMW, Škriniar admitted, “I’m certainly not happy, but the only thing I can influence is that I will continue to train well and work hard.”

Škriniar’s frustration is rooted in the lack of playing time, having only managed 111 minutes on the field so far this season.

Škriniar joined PSG on a five-year contract, becoming the first Slovak to play for the French giants. However, his experience under manager Luis Enrique has been far from ideal.

“Have I spoken to him about it? No, because the coach doesn’t talk about these things. Of course, I would like to have more opportunities, but the team is made up of the coach, and I respect his decisions,” Škriniar added.

Rumours have circulated about Škriniar’s potential departure in the January transfer window, with Juventus reportedly interested.

Reflecting on this, he revealed, “In the summer, there were many options… but together with the club, the coach, and the general manager, we decided that it would be better for me to stay and fight for a chance.”

Despite the setbacks, Škriniar remains determined: “I’ll wait for my chance and fight for it. I’ve been in similar situations in the past and always got out of them somehow.”
