Barcelona and Atletico Madrid are interested in signing Lautaro Martinez, whose value has soared to €150 million after a stellar Copa America with Argentina and a successful season with Inter Milan, Soccernet.football reports.

Seemingly in his prime, Martinez had a remarkable season with Inter, winning his second Serie A title as a key player and captain.

He then shone at the Copa America, finishing as the top scorer with five goals, surpassing Venezuela’s Salomon Rondon.

Martinez’s decisive goal in the final secured a 1-0 victory for Argentina over Colombia in extra time.

Inter Milan are thrilled with Martinez’s performance and the Italian Scudetto winners have renewed the Argentine striker’s contract.

However, despite this commitment, several top clubs are eyeing his talent ahead of 2025. With his status as one of the world’s best strikers, Inter could face significant offers that might tempt them to sell.

According to InterLive, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid are particularly keen on Martinez.

Barcelona, looking to rejuvenate their squad and find a successor for Robert Lewandowski, see Martinez as a prime target. With Lamine Yamal emerging, Barcelona aims to build one of the strongest attacks in football.

Atletico Madrid, the club from which Inter signed Martinez, also have a strong interest. Manager Diego Simeone, a fellow Argentine, could play a crucial role in bringing him back to Atletico.

Inter Milan, though, are expected to stay firm on their valuation: it will take at least €150 million to sign Martinez, without any player exchanges.

Additionally, any club looking to sign him would need to offer a contract worth €14-15 million per year to convince the 26-year-old forward.
