Italian defender Riccardo Calafiori has impressed at Euro 2024, attracting interest from Arsenal and Tottenham, Soccernet.football understands.
The 22-year-old left-footed centre-back played a key role for Bologna this season, helping the team reach the Champions League for the first time in 60 years. His performances caught the eye of Juventus, who tried to sign him.
Juventus agreed on personal terms with Calafiori, offering a five-year contract worth around €2.5 million per season. However, their €25 million bid was rejected by Bologna in May.
Bologna’s directors anticipated his value would rise after the European Championship, and their patience has been rewarded.
According to Tuttosport, Calafiori has become a top target for both Arsenal and Tottenham.
Spurs have contacted Bologna and are preparing a bid, while Arsenal have initiated discussions with his agent, Alessandro Lucci. Bologna is seeking around €50 million for the 22-year-old defender.
