The latest WhoScored’s European Team of the Week is packed with standout performers from across the continent, with Atalanta, Barcelona, Fiorentina, and Arsenal players all taking the spotlight, Soccernet.football reports.

Leading the way is Fiorentina’s David De Gea, whose heroics in goal during a thrilling 2-1 win over AC Milan earned him a WhoScored rating of 9.28.

De Gea pulled off seven crucial saves, including two penalty stops, to help his side hold on to the victory and secure his place in this prestigious lineup.

Atalanta dominate the team with three players following their 5-1 rout of Genoa. Marten De Roon, who scored his first goal of the season, was solid in midfield, contributing five interceptions.

His teammates, Ederson and Mateo Retegui, also shone. Ederson’s all-around performance, including a goal and a 92% pass accuracy, helped Atalanta control the midfield, while Retegui was directly involved in four of their five goals, netting a hat-trick and assisting another, giving him an impressive 9.59 rating.

In Spain, Robert Lewandowski was in sensational form for Barcelona, scoring a first-half hat-trick in their 3-0 victory over Alaves.

His three goals from six shots secured a 9.86 rating, placing him alongside teammate Raphinha, who assisted twice and worked hard defensively with three tackles.

From the Premier League, Bukayo Saka starred for Arsenal in their 3-1 win over Southampton.

Saka provided two assists, making him the top assist provider in the league this season, and also found the back of the net, giving him a WhoScored rating of 9.41.

Brentford’s Nathan Collins and Mikkel Damsgaard also make the team, with Collins scoring in their 5-3 win over Wolves and Damsgaard registering two assists in the same game.

Despite Mallorca’s 2-1 loss to Espanyol, Antonio Raillo’s defensive and offensive contributions earned him a place in the lineup. Raillo scored his side’s only goal and won eight aerial duels, while making five clearances and four interceptions.

Finally, Zuriko Davitashvili of Saint-Etienne claims the highest honour as the European Player of the Week. His flawless display in a 3-1 victory over Auxerre, which saw him score a hat-trick, earned him a perfect 10.0 rating, capping off an incredible week for the Georgian star.
