Super Eagles striker Kelechi Iheanacho returned to the scoresheet as Bursaspor were held to a 1-1 draw by Antalyaspor in their Turkish TFF 1. Lig encounter on Friday evening, Footynaija.com reports.
The Nigerian forward opened the scoring in the 26th minute after firing home a delivery from Amine Boutrah to give the visitors an early advantage at the Antalya Stadium.
Antalyaspor restored parity before the break through an own goal by Tural Bayramov, whose unfortunate intervention brought the hosts back into the contest.
Iheanacho thought he had restored Bursaspor’s lead after the restart when he beat the goalkeeper with a fine finish, but the effort was ruled out for offside following an infringement in the buildup.

The draw means Iheanacho has now scored in his first appearance since his remarkable run of finding the net in 12 consecutive league matches came to an end against Bandırmaspor last weekend.
The 29-year-old had established a new record in Turkish football with that incredible scoring sequence, underlining his importance to Bursaspor’s promotion ambitions this season.
His latest strike takes his tally to 17 goals and four assists in 14 league appearances, maintaining his position as one of the standout performers in the Turkish second tier.
Despite dropping points against Antalyaspor, Bursaspor remain top of the league standings with 37 points as they continue their push for promotion back to the Turkish Super Lig.
Iheanacho will now hope to build on his latest goal and help the Green-and-Whites maintain their impressive campaign as the season progresses.
