Victor Osimhen scored as Galatasaray thrashed Konyaspor 4-0 away from home in the Turkish Süper Lig on Friday, just hours after welcoming his second child, Footynaija reports.
The Super Eagles striker opened the scoring in the 12th minute at the Konya Metropolitan Municipality Stadium, rising above the Konyaspor defence to head home Gabriel Sara’s cross.
Osimhen’s goal gave the visitors an early lead and set them on course for a comfortable victory in their Matchday 10 fixture.
Yunus Akgün doubled Galatasaray’s advantage in the 28th minute with a powerful finish, leaving the hosts two goals down before half-time.
The visitors picked up where they left off after the break. Aleksey Batrakov made it 3-0 in the 49th minute before Rafael Leão converted a penalty six minutes later to complete the rout.
The win took Galatasaray to 25 points from 10 matches, five clear of second-placed Amed SK, who have played a game fewer.
Osimhen’s strike took his tally to 10 goals in 10 appearances across all competitions this season.
The 27-year-old has scored nine goals in eight Süper Lig appearances and added one in two UEFA Champions League matches. He has also provided three assists.
His latest goal continues an impressive run in front of goal as Galatasaray chase another league title and look to make progress in Europe.
