Super Eagles defender Semi Ajayi has warned Fulham stars Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey that Hull City will be travelling to Craven Cottage with one objective when the two teams meet on Saturday, Footynaija reports.
The Tigers have made an encouraging start to the Premier League campaign following their promotion, while Fulham have struggled to find their feet in the English top flight.
Hull sit eighth in the table after six matches, in contrast to Álvaro Arbeloa’s Fulham, who occupy 20th place at the bottom of the standings.

With both clubs featuring Nigerian internationals, Saturday’s encounter will offer another opportunity for the country’s stars to go head-to-head in England.
Ajayi and Nigeria-eligible midfielder Tim Iroegbunam represent Hull, while Super Eagles regulars Iwobi and Bassey are part of Fulham’s squad.
However, Ajayi has made it clear that Hull’s focus will be on securing maximum points rather than being distracted by their opponents’ individual quality.
“It’s just another match we need to win; we want to get points,” Ajayi told AfricaFoot. “Every match will be difficult this year. We know that every team is developing differently, so we’ll approach this match with a new game plan to try and get as many points as possible.”
Ajayi eyes another milestone against Fulham
Ajayi has been a key figure in Hull’s campaign, featuring in all six of their Premier League matches this season.
The 32-year-old defender has also contributed at the other end of the pitch, scoring the opening goal in Hull’s 2-0 victory over Manchester City on the opening matchday.
Ajayi will now hope to help the Tigers maintain their positive momentum against a Fulham side desperate to climb away from the foot of the table.
Historical meetings between the clubs suggest that Saturday’s contest could be closely fought. Fulham have recorded 35 victories against Hull across all competitions, while 28 encounters have ended in draws. The Tigers have claimed 36 wins.
Hull will therefore be aiming to secure their 37th victory in the fixture, with Ajayi expected to play an important role in their efforts to overcome the hosts.
