Nigeria-eligible striker Chido Obi has spoken about his ambitions after completing his loan move from Manchester United to Dutch side Willem II, Footynaija.com reports.
The 18-year-old has joined the Eredivisie club for the remainder of the 26/27 season after United agreed a temporary transfer with Willem II.
Obi is now set to experience regular senior football in the Netherlands as he looks to take the next step in his development after making eight appearances for Manchester United’s senior team.

“This is a great step in my career,” Obi said after completing the move, as quoted by Willem II’s official website.
“I want to play as much as possible, gain experience, and develop myself further. I will work hard for the team and hope to be able to be important.”
The youngster began his career in the FC Copenhagen academy before joining Arsenal, where he developed through the youth ranks.
He moved to Manchester United in 2024 and continued his progression at Old Trafford, eventually making his first-team debut at just 17 when he came off the bench against Tottenham Hotspur in February 2025.
The loan move to Willem II will now give Obi the opportunity to gain valuable experience in the Eredivisie, with regular playing time expected to be central to his development.
Born in Denmark to a Nigerian father and Danish mother, Obi remains eligible to represent Nigeria at senior international level.
For Man United, the season-long loan provides Obi with an opportunity to gain the senior minutes he needs before returning to Old Trafford next summer, while Willem II will be hoping the promising forward can make an immediate impact in attack.
