Sevilla have sent a clear message to clubs chasing Akor Adams that the Nigerian striker will not be sold on the cheap, Footynaija reports.
The Spanish side have reportedly rejected a €10 million (about N16 billion) offer from newly promoted Italian club Venezia, who see Adams as one of the key players capable of helping them survive in Serie A next season.
Adams enjoyed a breakthrough campaign after joining Sevilla from Montpellier in January 2025. The 26-year-old scored 10 goals in La Liga last season and became one of the team’s most important players during the run-in. Two of those goals proved decisive in Sevilla’s final four league matches as the club battled successfully to avoid relegation.
Clubs in Italy, France, England and Saudi Arabia have all been linked with the Super Eagles forward in recent weeks. Venezia made the first serious move, but Sevilla quickly turned down their proposal.
The rejection is believed to be linked to Sevilla’s valuation of the striker. While the club needs to generate funds through player sales, they reportedly consider Adams a far more valuable asset and are unwilling to negotiate at €10 million.
Venezia are expected to return with an improved offer, while French giants Olympique de Marseille are also monitoring the situation. Interest from the Premier League and the Middle East could further increase competition for his signature.
