Juventus may have found a new goalkeeper target, but signing Maduka Okoye will not come cheap, Footynaija reports.

The Serie A giants are looking to strengthen their goalkeeping options this summer and have recently increased their interest in the Super Eagles star. Juventus had been linked with Aston Villa and Argentina goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez, but talks have proven difficult, forcing the club to consider other options.

Okoye has now moved high up Juventus’ shortlist after an impressive season with Udinese. Despite missing the first six league matches because of a suspension connected to a betting investigation, the Nigerian goalkeeper returned strongly and became an important asset for Udinese.

The 26-year-old kept 10 clean sheets and conceded 32 goals in 30 appearances across all competitions. His performances helped Udinese finish 10th in Serie A and caught the attention of several clubs.

According to reports in Italy, Udinese are not willing to sell cheaply. The club reportedly values Okoye at around €15 million, which is close to the amount Juventus could spend on Martinez. That stance shows how highly Udinese rate the Nigerian international.

With two years still left on his contract, Udinese are under no pressure to sell immediately. However, as transfer rumours continue to grow, Okoye is expected to seek a clearer picture of his future before the summer window closes.

Juventus remain interested, but they may have to match Udinese’s asking price if they want to bring the Super Eagles goalkeeper to Turin.
